wrap alkaline battery`s in cling film to reduce damage caused by leakage

TinderBox (UK)

I have been thinking about doing this for years and i just tried it, I just need an small opening for the positive and negative on the battery`s to make contact with the flashlight electronics.

This should at least reduce the amount of damage, as long as alkaline chemicals cannot dissolve plastic, how many people have had to hammer out leaked battery`s or even have to re-machine the insides after a leak.

Obviously the positive and negative ends are where the leak is going to happen, storing your flashlight horizontally instead of vertically should substantially increase the chance of any leaks being caught by the plastic.

Any comments and ways to decrease the likelihood of an leak are appreciated.
